The cross section of the rubber sealing ring is mostly circular. Compared with the frame oil seal, the structure is simple, without frame and self-tightening spring, which depends on the ductility and flexibility of the rubber itself. If the installation is unreasonable, it will cause sealing failure, improve the wear of the operating parts, and even burn out the shaft and other major failures. Therefore, the installation of rubber seals should pay attention to the following:

1. clean the installation position;

2. remove burrs during seal installation and movement;

Apply the rubber seal ring grease to the seal 3;

4. protect the sealing surface from wear;

5. check to verify that the seal size is reasonable;

6. use a suitable tool to install the seal that needs to be deformed and installed.

(1) If the rubber sealing ring is too thin or the sealing groove is too deep, the rubber sealing ring cannot be higher than a certain height of the curved surface after being added to the sealing groove. A layer of cotton thread or highland barley paper can be wrapped at the bottom of the sealing groove, coated with waterproof rubber sealing ring grease, and then insert the sealing ring into the sealing groove.

(2) If the rubber sealing ring is too thick or the sealing groove is shallow, adding the rubber sealing ring is too high and the arc is too high, not only is it difficult to install, but the rubber sealing ring will even crack and the accessories will also be squeezed. The rubber sealing ring can be evenly polished with sandpaper until it is added to the water sealing groove at a suitable height, and then used on the surface layer of the rubber sealing ring, namely rubber sealing ring grease.

(3) When the thickness of the rubber sealing ring is uneven or the depth of the sealing groove is different, and the protruding height of the rubber ring is uneven after installation, the problem of the rubber sealing ring or the sealing groove should be carefully checked and the parts that have the problem should be replaced.

(4) Before placing the rubber sealing ring in the sealing groove, the sealing groove of the rubber sealing ring should be cleaned, and other debris and dirt should be avoided during installation. During the installation process, the seal and its parts should be coated with rubber sealing ring grease, and rubber sealing ring grease containing solid additives such as molybdate and zinc sulfide should not be used.
